One of the most accomplished saloons of it's generation, the Series III XJ6 range debuted in 1979 to much acclaim. Penned by Pininfarina, It was visually distinguished from the Series II by new thicker bumpers, the removal of separate "quarter-light" windows from the front doors, and a revised rear roofline featuring a slightly more angular c-pillar. Series III Daimler Sovereign (Six) Production ended in 1983 but the body style continued into the early 1990's with the V12 powerplant. The Series III marked a notable quality improvement over the Series II due to Jaguar's implementation of computerisation during the early 1980's.

Ursprünglich registriert A240 JWU, gehört es zu den frühesten Fahrzeugen mit dieser Kennzeichenpräfix. Finishing exquisit in Cranberry metallic red over a Biscuit leather interior with walnut trim, it is clear this car has been well cared for and it remains highly original.
