Complete full restoration
New wooden frame
The 220 Cabriolet A was in Sweden completely dismantled by a specialist workshop for a wealthy Swedish client and rebuilt from the ground up.
The wooden frame was renewed in Sweden.
During the restoration, the client fell seriously ill and had to sell the car.
The current owner, who himself restores vehicles from this era, bought the half-finished project and brought it to Germany for completion.
All technical components—the engine, the transmission, the rear axle, brakes, all the wiring, the upholstery work and the soft top—were refurbished in Germany.
The restoration took well over eight years.
In the last year, the vehicle was registered and driven. During this, small defects emerged, which were addressed during the test drives.
The 220 Cabriolet A now stands in superb condition thanks to the high-quality restoration.
Great care was taken during completion to reflect the highest quality.
