Description
Named after London’s luxurious hotel, Plymouth’s Savoy displayed a series of body design elements conceived by Virgil Exner, Henry King to match Mayry Baldwin’s interior. The impressive direct control of the PowerFlite transmission via the pushbutton selector provided for thrilling performance powered by the Chrysler-engineered hemispheric topped V8.
The 1956 Savoy offered was produced in Mint Green over Mint Green interior uniformly accentuating design elements. It is powered by a 277 A type V8 engine to produce 187 bhp at 4400 rpm and 359 Nm at 2400 rpm via its double barrel Carter carburetor. In 2007 it was sourced in the US to become part of a private collection in Athens, Greece. It currently presents in spectacular condition throughout with authenticity certificate recently renewed.
