Vehicle history:
The Jeep CJ (or Civilian Jeep) was the freely available version of the famous military jeep from World War II. The first CJ (the CJ-2) was introduced in 1944 by Willys-Overland, and its basic design remained in production across all seven generations under three corporate owners until 1986. The Willys CJ-5 was influenced by the new owner, Kaiser Industries, as well as by the M38A1 Jeep from the Korean War. The CJ-5 followed this pattern and was produced for three decades.
The vehicle had a higher grille and a taller hood to accommodate the new 2. 2-litre Willys Hurricane engine. This Jeep is fantastically restored. Originally from France, it was imported to Germany in 1994. Since then this car has had only three owners. The current owner was gifted the car by his wife 21 years ago and has only driven it on sunny days all that time.
