First registered in 1960, this Mini 850 has covered just 79, 000 miles from new and has had only four former keepers, reflecting a life of careful and considered ownership. It retains the hallmark details that define these early cars, including the magic wand gear lever, floor mounted push button start, sliding windows and correct period interior, all combining to deliver a wonderfully nostalgic and engaging driving experience.
In the early 2000s, the car underwent a sympathetic restoration with a clear emphasis on preservation rather than replacement. Photographic evidence confirms that the original floors, sills and outer panels remain in place, a significant and increasingly rare attribute. Where attention was required, including the boot floor and rear valance, works were completed to a high standard to maintain structural integrity while keeping the car true to its origins.
