Description
1966 - Ford Mustang 289 FIA Chassis n° 6R07C185487 Monegasque registration document Vehicle sold without technical inspection Brochure: "An ideal Mustang for a historical debut! Introduced in 1964, the Mustang was an immediate success and was soon used in competition. In Europe, it distinguished itself on the track at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as in rallies at Monte Carlo and the Tour de France Automobile. Our example took part in numerous historic events, including the Tour Auto in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and the Ollon Villars hill climb in 2017. Note that its PTH (2010) is currently up for renewal. Maintained by specialist Burgol Racing in Geneva, its engine was recently overhauled and tuned, and has been driven very little since. Having brought joy to its owner over the last few years, this beautiful Mustang is now looking for a new driver to taste the joys of competition once again! Our Mustang 289 is presented today in its original state, with bodywork repainted a few years ago and bearing the scars of its competition use. Its black hood, long staves and coloured stripes give it a superb look. The interior is also entirely original, with only the safety features required for competition use added, such as a 6-point roll bar, a pair of bucket seats, OMP harnesses, a circuit breaker and a fire extinguisher.
