HISTORY/ DESCRIPTION.
On sale with Bruce Greetham is a truly magnificent driving 280 SL Pagoda. It has been driven by me, and I can confess how good this car performs not only in the engine but also in the way the Gearbox works. Registered new in the UK as a London car in 1970 and always kept in the original colour. Pagodas come and go, but this to me stands out as a usable driving pagoda that can be enjoyed so much. The original Engine was rebuilt in 2023 by Roger Edwards and has been looking after it for many years.
The Paintwork does show one or two blemishes; however, nothing worth considering addressing. The chrome work, trim and hood are lovely and in beautiful condition. A very comprehensive service history showing many bills and receipts back to 2009.
WHY BUY.
I have driven many Pagodas in my time, some good, some very good and some that require tweaking. This one is on the key from cold and pulls through the gears like butter, performs on the kick down. Such a car gives a long-lasting smile to yourself to say that they don't come much better than this. I would not think twice to drive this anywhere at any time.
