This CITROEN DS 21 BREAK is a genuine rarity, as it was factory-ordered in the 1970s with air conditioning and with 2 emergency seats (which fold away completely), making it a true seven-seater!
The DS 21 was built from 1965 to 1972, so this one is among the last model years!
Factory-delivered in color AC087 - Beige Albatre, with matching interior trim in red fabric.
The DS will receive a fresh TÜV before handover, including an H-plate certificate.
Over the last three months we have put a lot of effort into identifying all deficiencies on the car and professionally addressing them. The front end is un-welded.
The mileage reading is current.
Among other works carried out:
- The steering was completely renewed,
- as well as the alternator with integrated regulator.
- The sills including the underbody were refurbished.
- The engine coolant temperature gauge was repaired.
- A large portion of hoses, screws and gasket/ o-ring seals were also replaced with new parts.
- Engine oil and gearbox oil and filters were changed.

The Citroën DS 21 Break, which arrived on the market in 1958 as a estate version of the legendary “Goddess,” revolutionised it with its exceptional everyday practicality combined with the luxurious ride of the hydropneumatic suspension. To this day it is regarded as one of the most fascinating estate cars in automotive history.
The market launch of the estate variant took place in 1958 as the DS 19, while the model designation DS 21 BREAK related to the largest engine in that era, 100 HP from 1965 and 104 HP from 1966.
Unlike classic estates of the time, the focus was on high ride comfort and versatility. The car offered a massive load volume of up to 2, 000 litres and, as an option, two additional fold-down emergency seats in the rear.
Thanks to the innovative hydropneumatic suspension with automatic leveling, the Break smoothed out every bump even when fully loaded (up to seven people plus luggage). The body could be raised for off-road use or lowered for loading and unloading.
The four-cylinder engine initially delivered 104 PS. From 1969, the fuel-injection system (Injection Electronique) delivered a noticeable power increase to 120 PS, enabling the large estate to reach up to 175 km/ h.
