Antig-Honda 125cc Junior Grass Track Racing Motorcycle

"A firm owned by Tig Perry and based in Gloucester that built frame kits for grass-track racing. From this start came complete machines using engines ranging from the 250cc Bultaco to the 500cc JAP. He later took over the manufacture of Weslake engines and after this bought Alf Hagon's frame-building business." - Bacon & Hallworth, The British Motorcycle Directory.
According to the firm's Facebook page: "Antig Engineering is a family run business founded around 1970 by the legendary Tig Perry. We manufacture speedway & grasstrack components & bike parts."
One of relatively few produced for Junior-class grass track racing, this Antig-Honda is a slightly scaled-down version of the real thing powered by a 125cc engine rather than a full-size racers 500cc unit. The private vendor advises us that no work has been carried out since he purchased the bike in 2007.
Since its acquisition by our vendor the machine has not been run. Following a period of inactivity, this motorcycle will require recommissioning and/ or restoration to a greater or lesser extent before returning to the track and thus is sold strictly as viewed. Prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves with regard to this motorcycle's history, originality, authenticity, mechanical condition, usage and completeness (or otherwise) prior to bidding.
