"Very interesting colour combination"
The Citroën ID 19, launched in 1957, is the more affordable version of the DS. It inherits its avant-garde styling and its famous comfort thanks to the hydropneumatic suspension, but with simplified mechanics and less luxurious equipment in order to reduce its price.
With a 1. 9-litre engine derived from the Traction Avant, it quickly appeals to families and professionals. Regularly improved during the 1960s, it became one of Citroën’s great successes before being replaced in the mid-1970s by the CX.
The presented example has the advantage of a very beautiful colour combination! Its overall condition is good: the paint is attractive (apart from a colour defect on one door), the upholstery is of good quality, and the underframe is sound (please note a repair on the chassis, photos available on request).
Recently, hydraulic-system work has been carried out to perfect its sealing. Otherwise, this ID 19 runs well and is regularly used.
