With a view to buying a property I am selling with a twinge of regret: DSuper5 from 1973. Owner since 2013. The MOT has just expired on 30/ 03/ 2025 but will be retaken for the sale. The report from the last MOT in 2022 is in the last photo (the minor defects reported at the time have been corrected). Virtually complete restoration by a professional DS specialist (I will share his contact details with you if you wish to check with him everything that has been done). In the photos you will find a good number of "before" restoration photos (easy to recognise) and then photos of the current state after restoration.
Details below: -->Exterior : chassis restored (done by the professional I bought the car from in 2013), complete hydraulics changed, complete exhaust new, steering wheel, brakes (front and rear calipers) new, carburettor rebuilt to new, hyperbaric high-pressure pump new, circuit breaker new, starter new, alternator with regulator new, new electronic ignition (but original ignition supplied), new wiring harness, new battery, 5 new spheres, sandblasted and repainted wheels, new heater radiator, new bonnet lining, sandblasted and re-chromed fastenings, bumper fittings with thermostatic valve, front and rear height adjuster, new power steering, new petrol tank. Final work in March 2025: new engine block exhaust pipe, new directional headlight linkage, new headlights ... The paintwork is still very nice (it had been repainted when I bought it) but not perfect, i. e. the car looks very very good but if you get very close you can see a few small waves (no doubt due to remastication when it had been repainted) and to my knowledge only 3 very small blisters (which were already present when I bought it in 2013 and have not changed since, which is a good sign). On one of the photos you will see 2 of these small blisters located on the driver's door barrel. New tyres -->Interior: dashboard repainted, new door handles, new door jambs, new seat belts, new carpets and rubber lining under the carpet, and sky seats in very good condition. In short, lots of new or refurbished parts. In terms of important things to know: when I bought the car, it was supplied with a DY3 engine instead of a DX2 (so the wrong engine for a DSuper5). I have the whole file with the legal expertise at my disposal. Happy with this DY3, I didn't rebuild or change it (but we did take it out during the restoration and changed the engine mounts, of course) but since that was my intention, I bought a DX2 (after months of searching!) in good condition (with gearbox).
For your information, I am also selling this DX2 engine + gearbox (not included in the list price) but will not sell it before the car in case the buyer of the car wants this engine to do it again quietly while still enjoying the car with its DY3 engine. Yours faithfully
