BSA SCOUT 1935
Leave Motors Ragusa is offering for sale on a commission basis a pre-war vintage vehicle in fully original condition, supplied with an ASI Certificate of Identity with Gold Plate—essential for taking part in the major events on the ASI calendar. A very innovative model for its time, known for its front-wheel drive and four-link suspension.
Bodywork in excellent condition, in pastel black; repainted around 20 years ago. Always kept in a covered garage and used only rarely for local shows, with just minimal signs of wear. Wheels are “18” with silver cross-spoke wire wheels, chromed “BSA” hub caps/ centre covers, and front and rear tyres with around 80% tread left, now fully perished/ crystallised.
Original interior, preserved very well. “Cartier” red leather upholstery and door panels, with no significant flaws. Dashboard with a burr/ wood veneer insert, comprehensive and complete instrumentation; speedometer not working.
Mechanically sound: original engine from first fitment, with the characteristic side-valve distribution. Starts extremely quickly on the first push—see the video—and drives brilliantly despite its small displacement. Ready to go straight away and attend rallies.
All paperwork is in order for transfer of ownership. Black number plates with the “CE” province.
