Description
In the 1950s, there were no motocross bikes. If you wanted to take part, you had to modify road bikes.
This Maico 250 motocross machine comes from the Maico 250 GS trials/ road-regularity model. Obviously, starting from a regularity base made it very competitive in motocross.
It won several races in the European championship, as you can see from the fourth photo.
The bike has been fully and professionally restored.
The ***** is a Hoeckle cylinder unit, a company that currently works for Formula 1 engine builders.
The rear shock absorbers are Tedeschi Boge.
Of course, it’s in perfect working order.
