This vehicle is a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette fitted with an L36 427cid 390bhp engine, paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox and a 4-barrel carburettor. The speedometer shows 59, 353 original miles. The car has had two owners since 1972 and was stored for around 20 years before the restoration began in 2013. Detailed maintenance records are available on request. The engine is matching numbers, with serial number 02L36AA 427 390-HP Turbo-Jet and an original side-exit exhaust system (serial number 02N14AS). No modifications have been made other than the Vintage Air air conditioning fitted in 2013. The air conditioning is not currently working, but all components are present. The car is equipped with a rear axle with a limited-slip differential (3. 70 ratio). The electric windows operate slowly but correctly. The power-assisted brake system is present. Clear T-top roofs are included, along with original wheels and new tyres fitted in 2013. An assembly instruction manual and Vintage Air manuals are available. There is a minor oil leak under the engine that has not yet been diagnosed. In December 2024, an individual inspected the car and noted the following: Fitting a new battery Removal and cleaning of the carburettor bowls (corrosion/ deposits from ethanol fuel during storage) Changing the engine oil and filter with Royal Purple 10W-40 HPS and a Wix filter Filling the transmission and rear differential with Royal Purple MaxGear 75W-90 Filling the cooling system reservoir with Prestone Checking the brake fluid level (level is good, but the fluid appears dirty) Retorquing the engine-mounting bolts Engine drive test and a drive around the block Additional notes: The brake and fuel systems, as well as the lines, have recently been rebuilt and are in good condition. The engine starts and runs well; it could benefit from a tune after storage. The automatic choke needs adjusting. Oil pressure is solid (60 psi). The transmission shifts normally.
