A superbly presented rare Canyon red MK4 V5 Golf manual with cream leather interior that’s been subject to a full comprehensive schedule of works just a few thousand miles ago.
A 3 owner car that is now showing just 57, 500 miles and has been remarkably well preserved with an extensive history file including dealer sales brochures and service history.
Having been prepared for sale by Mark Turner (of MTSV Mercedes specialists) who set about a comprehensive schedule of works to bring the car up to exacting standards after 24 years of its life.
The end result is the car that's had a huge amount spent on it as virtually the whole of the drive train & running gear has been replaced, although much of it wasn't necessary!
Schedule of documented works included:
• Front & rear discs and pads replaced
• Rear calipers replaced, fronts stripped, cleaned, repainted and had retaining springs replaced
• Entire front hub carrier & wheel bearing assembly replaced
• Front brake backing plates replaced
• Both rear hubs and bearing assemblies replaced
• All ABS sensors replaced
• Both front bottom arms & track control arms replaced
• All 4 shock absorbers replaced
• All 4 brake flexi hoses replaced and brake lines renewed
• All brake pipe to beam clips renewed with genuine VAG
• Complete new rear axle beam with bushes
• Complete front subframe & bushes replaced (cheaper than replacing bushes only!)
• What wasn’t replaced was cleaned & repainted
• Underside Dynax treated
• Centre gearbox mount replaced
• Centre exhaust section replaced
• Front anti roll bar bushes & drop lines replaced
• New battery & battery fuse box
• All wheels refurbished and new tyres fitted along with new centre caps
• Fan control module replaced
• AC pressure switch replace
• AC compressor replaced
• Off side rear door latch replaced
• Rear tailgate struts replaced
• NS front window regulator replaced
• Full service inc Oil and air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, and coolant and cabin air filter.
