This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
Developed by Honda with one aim in mind - to win the World Superbike Championship
Built with a twin-spar alloy beam frame, 16-valve V4 engine with gear-driven cams, close-ratio 6-speed gearbox and 4-*** front brake calipers
Famously ridden to victory by Carl Fogarty in the TT World Championship in 1988 and 1989
Twice as expensive at £8, 499 as its other 750cc race-replica super-sport rivals
Bike Magazine wrote "No other bike from the late 1980s is lusted after like the RC30"
This example was built at the start of 1992 and fitted with Ohlins front forks
Raced initially by Simon Crafar in the UK Championship in 1992 with a numerous top ten finishes
Transferred in 1993 to Phillip McCallen who raced various short circuit events but found the bike difficult to ride and scored no major successes that year
Fitted with a Tony Scott tuned NLOB engine, kit radiators, flat sided kit carburettors and Ohlins front forks
Presented in mostly unrestored condition and still finished in its factory Castrol colours
Forming part of a private collection, unused for last few years so will need some recommissioning before use
History file included, containing amongst other paperwork, a copy signed letter from Neil Tuxworth and a copy invoice from Honda UK
