A Legacy Born from Racing
The Ferrari F40, unveiled in 1987, was designed to commemorate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary and stands as one of the most iconic supercars ever built. Developed under the guidance of Enzo Ferrari, it was the last model personally approved by him before his passing. The F40 was a direct evolution of the Ferrari 288 GTO, originally intended for Group B racing, but after the FIA discontinued the category, Ferrari transformed the project into a road-going supercar.

The F40 was engineered with a singular focus on raw performance, featuring a 2. 9L twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 471 horsepower, allowing it to reach a top speed of 201 mph—making it the fastest production car of its time. The lightweight construction incorporated carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminium, ensuring an aggressive power-to-weight ratio. The stripped-down interior emphasized function over luxury, with minimalistic cloth seats, pull-cord door handles, and no carpeting, reinforcing its race-bred DNA.
