Description
The Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Junior was launched in 1966 as a more affordable alternative to the Sprint GT Veloce, whilst retaining the same coupé body designed by Bertone. It was a two-door sports car with a front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive, which became one of the brand’s most successful models thanks to its excellent handling and the rev-happy Twin Cam engine. The 1300 GT Junior was fitted with a 1. 3-litre four-cylinder engine which, despite its smaller displacement, offered the dynamic performance typical of Italian cars of that era. Production of this range, with its distinctive body lines, continued with various updates until 1977. This particular 1971 model is fitted with a 1, 290 cc engine and reaches a top speed of 170 km/ h. In the standard version, the engine delivers 76 kW (approximately 103 hp) at 6, 000 rpm. The car’s exterior is finished in classic red paint, and the interior accommodates four people. The vehicle has an interesting history of direct registration in the Czech Republic, dating back to 1 January 1971. This historic piece represents an excellent investment opportunity for collectors and lovers of Italian design. Veteráni na Truc: a group of ordinary people who love cars.
