VW T2 Danbury Rio Bay Window Camper Van. 1600cc. Superb Condition. Right Hand Drive. Pop Top Roof.
A stunning 2006 Danbury Rio Camper. These later Brazilian buses are fantastic and one of the best selling models. The bus is in Right Hand Drive format, ideal for the UK.
Bodywork is in good condition as is the paint work, finished in VW Sea Blue / White. Sea Blue is one of the best-selling colours for the early split screen buses and looks superb on this Danbury, capturing the essence of the early VWs. The Porsche style Fuch alloy wheels are the icing on the cake.
The bus has the iconic flat four 1600cc air cooled engine with fuel injection and an ECU for vastly improved performance and also improved reliability from the earlier carburettor models. These buses are ideal for short weekend trips and also can be enjoyed for longer journeys. CSP short shift gear shifter for improved gear change. Wood rimmed steering wheel.
Just 40, 000 miles (63, 000km) from new, this bus has been carefully looked after and cherished. The bus is a 4-berth model with the full width rock n roll bed that acts as a three person forward facing seat when upright and also folds down to make a large double bed suitable for two adults. There is also the gas elevating pop top roof that has additional bed platforms to make a further large double bed allowing for vast additional headroom and storage space.
