The BMW 850i was introduced in 1989 as the first model in the new 8 Series (E31), which was intended to replace the aging 6 Series (E24) while also offering a significantly higher level of technology and equipment. It was a two-door luxury GT coupé with a front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. The 850i was fitted with the 5. 0-litre M70 V12 engine, created by combining two M20 six-cylinder units. In its standard version, it produced 300 hp and was available with either a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. Technological innovations included electronic throttle control, electronically controlled suspension and a multi-link rear axle. Production of the 850i continued until 1994, when the model was renamed the 850Ci and gradually modernised. This particular 1991 vehicle is equipped with a 4, 988 cm³ engine and a manual transmission, a less common combination, as most cars were fitted with an automatic gearbox. The interior is finished in light-coloured Nappa leather and, together with the bodywork paint, is in very good condition. The vehicle was imported from Spain approximately two years ago and has not yet been registered in the Czech Republic.
