Description
[Ref. 24201589] RANGE ROVER CLASSIC 3. 5 V8 3 DOOR ? MAY 1981 ? TUSCAN BLUE Price: 49, 900 ? | 135, 000 km | Petrol | 3, 528 cc Truly an icon of the 1980s, in its unmistakable three-door form. The Range Rover Classic helped define the modern concept of the SUV, combining comfort and versatility with the capability of a genuine off-roader. Beneath its elegant lines lies a mechanical package of real substance: V8 engine, permanent four-wheel drive, lockable centre differential, low-range gearing and rigid-axle suspension with coil springs. This example, first registered in May 1981, stands out in the superb Tuscan Blue colour, code LRC 236, matched with interior in the warm tones of the era. Equipment includes power steering, air conditioning and a manual gearbox with overdrive, a feature particularly appreciated on motorway journeys, where it allows the V8's engine speed to be reduced. The car has been completely overhauled around three years ago and is offered with mechanicals and equipment in running order. Declared mileage: 135, 000 km. The 3, 528 cc V8 is fitted with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburettor and Edelbrock inlet manifold, replacing the original Stromberg carburettors. According to the owner, the set-up delivers around 155 bhp and reduced fuel consumption compared with the previous induction system. The original Stromberg carburettors and air filter are included, an important detail for anyone wishing to keep the original-specification components. Paperwork status: car currently deregistered for export. Italian re-registration to be carried out; possible request for historic registration plates, with original numbering subject to verification of documents and the applicable requirements.
