The first Moto Morini was born in Bologna in the spring of 1946, inspired by the finest 125 of its era, the German DKW RT. It was the first new lightweight motorcycle produced in Italy after the war, and when it was unveiled at the 1946 Milan Motor Show, Motociclismo hailed it as ‘the success of the year’.
This rare and magnificent example *** frame no. 4520 was registered in Piacenza in 1951 and still retains its original logbook and number plates.
About a dozen years ago it was fully restored, professionally and faithfully to the original, as the photos show. It was recently checked and prepared for use.
The handwritten lists of the various purchase and restoration costs from the previous owner are included.
