I have owned my Mini for the 33 years!
Briefly, the Mini has a 1330cc engine with a lot of high spec. internals, designed & built using all new parts to achieve a lot of low down torque to make it really drivable and reliable, but it still manages to produce over 93 bhp at below 5000rpm and it has only covered around 7500 miles! Along with this, I have obviously up rated the braking system and suspension to match.
There are a lot of bespoke / one-off parts on the car as hopefully seen from the photos; for example: the interior, dash etc (solid machined Mahogany), centre console, mixed body colour (metallic green with pale blue pearl over) to mention a few. Again, I have loads of photos and close ups etc. if required.

There has been no expense spared on this car and it has been a life long project/ obsession! Generally, the only original part is the shell etc. which is heavily rust protected with Waxoyl in all cavities and is maintained (easily).
I have taken the Mini to lots of shows and events over ten or eleven years since 1985 (prior to this, it was my every day transport) and it has won a lot of awards; to include several first & second places in Custom Classes, several first & second places in the ‘Premier Classes’, ‘Best Paint’, ‘Best Interior’ and ‘Best Engine Bay’ awards to name a few, but although the car has had a four page feature in Mini Magazine (a few years ago now) and has been predominantly a ‘show’ car, it is also very drivable, totally rust protected and is very reliable.
The latter half of the 90’s saw big changes for my family, a house move, our business flourished, and our third child arrived, a daughter after two sons! The Mini was garaged, connected to a battery tender and lost under protective covers for some time. It has been out on a few occasions over the last ten years or so to a few shows, had its oil changed (always ‘Mobil 1’) it’s been MOT’d etc. and then returned to the garage!
It is insured on a classic, agreed value insurance policy (fully declared modifications) with around a £7500 agreed valuation.
Over the years I obviously cannot begin to calculate the amount of ‘man hours’ and money that has been lavished on this very special car and I reluctantly now feel that with work & family commitments that I no longer have the time to use it to its full potential. Hopefully, there maybe someone else out there that could get a lot of pleasure out of it (as I have) and offer it a good home whether showing it or using it from day to day! It has a documented history including parts fitted with dates and mileages, along with 12 Months MOT and 6 Months Road Tax.
