On 29 November 1982 Mercedes Benz introduced their 190 model new to the market. It was quickly nicknamed the "Baby Benz and it was an immediate sensation. The following year in Southern Italy their even more sensational 190E 2. 3 - 16 (with an engine designed by Cosworth) was put to a 50 000 kilometre high speed test run and after gruelling 201 hours 39 minutes and 43 seconds and 243 pit stops later the Baby Benz had a smashing average of 247 km's per hour.
In September 1983 the Mercedes Benz 190E 2. 3 - 16 Cosworth was introduced for the first time at the Motorshow in Frankfurt.
The Mercedes Benz 190E 2. 3 - 16 only went into production one year later in September 1984.
This 1985 MERCEDES BENZ 190E 2. 3 - 16 has been very well looked after. The paintwork and the interior of the car is in good condition. The Baby Benz has approximately 242 000 original kilometres on the clock.
