Let us introduce you to April who became a member of our family on 4th April 2014. April was born (manufactured) in 1978 and is a 1500 Vanden Plas. She is in amazing condition and has just returned to the road after taking a year’s break while being converted from Automatic to manual transmission.
She has also had many new parts fitted including brand new brake callipers, new genuine Rover side indicator lights, track rod ends, electronic ignition , genuine old stock Mud Flaps and much more.
We would like to tell you a little about her history. She was first registered in Weston-Super-Mare by the dealer, and went to an owner from South East London from May 1978 to May 1996, she remained in South London until 1997 when she moved to Ashford in Kent until September 2011.
From Ashford she relocated to Sevenoaks with a mileage of 50, 696. She has never failed an MOT since the system was introduced.
Many garages have reported that they have seldom seen a vehicle with such a track record.
She is known to the Allegro Club International.
Her last owner used her frequently and reports that she started without fail be it cold or warm.
April’s body is completely Rust-Free and her under-side is in excellent condition. Her chrome work is nigh-on perfect. She has a rare windshield deflector on the driver side. The condition of her interior equals that of her exterior.
Her leather seats are in great condition with barely any signs of wear and tear at all. Her electrics are now in great working order.
April has had a full body re spray and the Interior roof lining replaced. All other minor problems have been rectified.
The exact current millage on the clock is 52, 534, the car has been used only for display at shows and the odd trip to our garage for restoration.
As this has been a full restoration with a complete history provided and the original brochure and operational manual booklet at the point of sale on the 4 May 1978.
