This is a rare opportunity to instantly acquire one of our nut and bolt rebuilds, due to a loss of storage for the previous keeper. This vehicle has rebuilt by us, and has done 0 miles since delivery - as such, it is new and ready to enjoy. Please note, since these photographs, a FULL Elephant Hide interior, front and rear, has been fitted and photos will be provided of this in due course. We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning Series 2a, having just been fully rebuilt by us. The donor vehicle was a low (2) owner example. From here, we strip it back to individual parts. These parts are then assessed, and either refurbished, or where not possible, replaced with new. These parts are then reassembled onto a new galvanised chassis, and are all bolted back together with new fixings. The panels are painted individually before reassembly, thus affording a factory type, "crisp" finish - no masking off and over spraying as you may get in an inferior build. These really are, in our opinion, the best on offer anywhere, despite being cheaper than many - we think that these are great value for money.
As the photos show, all cappings are regalvanised, and the underside and interior receive the same love and attention. We replace the springs and shocks with new, replace the swivel assemblies, track rods etc etc so they look how you would hope they might!
We have gone to town on this one, and fitted it with expensive elephant hide seats, which we think look great against the pretty Mid Grey finish - a new canvas rounds it off.
As you expect, everything works on this - all the dials and gauges - even the heater works and blows as it should without leaks! Most unusual! It also smells like a new car.
This build has taken many months, much hard work and a great deal of money in parts and labour . Prices of donor vehicles and costs are increasing all the time, so now is the perfect opportunity to acquire a superb vehicle, to enjoy and retain as as a sound family investment!
Our recent customer rebuilds have won several "Best In Shows" in 2016. If you have the budget, and are looking for a "no fuss to run" Series 2a that will be around for many many years - to pass down through the family, then these are great buys.
