For sale viper blue 4. 0ltr Chimaera with TVR 500 series black 7 spoke wheels and blue leather interior, 71K miles. I have owned the car since Jun 12 where it has been kept in a garage and never used in the rain. It has been serviced every year by a TVR and Morgan specialist where aside from a slight leak from the clutch master cylinder and an intermittent starter motor fault (both components replaced) the car has been fantastic with nothing else needing attention. MOT is due Sep 17. I purchased the car from a perfectionist who spent over £6000 of work on the car between 2010 and 2012. An extract of that work is as follows:
A £3000 body off chassis restoration by Willow Sports Cars of Newark, Notts.(photographic records incl.), this involved a complete strip of the car, chassis sandblasted, new outriggers, modified & strengthened seat mounts all zinc coated and powder coated.
All new poly bushes and ball joints fitted along with new front wishbones, handbrake cable, NEW O. E Clutch fitted, Bosch fuel pump and braided S/ S brake hoses. In addition to this, it has new hood and door seals, and door switches, a fully rebuilt cooling system with a re-cored radiator, water pump, new custom made aluminium swirl and expansion pots, new engine valley gasket, rocker gaskets with upgraded hex bolts, thermostat, Otter Switch, injector 'O' rings, S/ S swan neck pipe and Silicon Hoses. Brand New OEM Bosch Headlight Reflector Bowls and lenses fitted.
The paint has a deep shine, with some light stone chipping around the front end, although this is subtle and doesn't detract from the appearance of the car. The interior is in very good condition with Leven dash and switch gear. Ipod connection with Alpine head unit. Everything works and drives like a dream (quote from TVR mechanic). Sleeved exhaust system but includes slot into tailpipe track-day silencers giving the car a fantastic V8 sound. Tyres are great condition with very little wear, brakes are EBC crossed drilled again with hardly any wear. The 500 series model alloys are also refurbished and unmarked. Fitted waterproof Cover included, although car is garaged.
This has to be one of the best overall condition Chimaera's you will find for the price and serious viewing is welcomed. Purchase of another car which also requires garage space forces me to sadly sell. Comprehensive service records include original TVR service booklet and every service receipt and parts bills from new. Any inspection welcomed. Best offer secures.
