Hi and welcome to my listing of my beloved Outbak
To those of you out there who don't know what an Outbak is (apart from it being a large area of land down under) I shall explaineth further.
It's a 1995 1. 6L Suzuki Vitara based 4x4 kit car.
This kit is extremely rare... rarer than rocking horse poo! in fact... have you ever seen another one?
Now before we go any further I have to tell you up front some stuff you need to know...
If you're a shy type... this vehicle is NOT for you!
If you're a wallflower type... this vehicle is NOT for you!
If you're a bashful type... this vehicle is NOT for you!
If you're an introvert type... this vehicle is NOT for you.
If you like the way you're hair looks now... this vehicle is NOT for you!
However, on the other hand,
If you're someone who likes being bold... this vehicle IS for you!
If you're an 'In Your Face' kind of guy (or lady) of course... then this vehicle IS for you!
If you like being the centre of attention... then this vehicle IS for you!
If you're an extrovert... then this vehicle IS for you!
and, finally...
If you don't mind what your hair looks like... this vehicle is DEFINITELY for you!
Because driving this vehicle...
You WILL get looked at!
You WILL get stared at!
You WILL be admired!
You WILL be smiled at!
You WILL be envied!
... need I go on!
Now that's the silly part out of the way, here's the serious stuff...
Built about 10 years ago by myself to a professional standard... this was the 3rd kit I've built.
Full 4-seater so that you can expose the kids to all this fun as well... they'll love it!
Removable soft-top to keep elements out (most of it anyway)
Detachable hard, steel framed lockable (what's the point!) perspex doors
2-stage alarm
Battery isolator switch
Tow hitch
1. 6L engine
General Grabber AT2 tyres on Weller wheels with heaps of tread
Spare wheel
0-60 time... 2 days (not built for speed, just comfort!... it's the gearing)
Cheap to insure, repair & maintain... they're Suzuki bits!
Doubles as a cat hammock... it does for us anyway!
And above all, it's so much FUN to drive!
