in 1960 Velocette introduced Clubman versions of the Venom and
Viper, which featured a raised compression ratio, Amal TT
carburettor, racing magneto, rear set footrests and a close-ratio gearbox and many other improvements. Produced until the end of Velocette production in 1971. the Venom in its various guises represents the final ending of the traditional British sports single, and today these supremely well-engineered thoroughbreds are highly sought after.
Its acompanying original logbook shows that this Venom Clubman
was sold new by Edwards Motors. The machine remained in England
and was subseqently restored to museum standard by Wesley Wall, restorer to the National Motorcycle Museum.
Finished and MOT, d in February 2012 the machine has covered
little or no mileage since completion and is presented in excellent condition.
