1971 MGB Roadster 1. 8 in Blaze Orange
This MGB was purchased by myself earlier this year with the intention of using it as a daily driver but after inspection and realizing just what a good car it was I decided to take it to the next level. The previous owner who was an engineer had imported the car from dry state America and over several years carried out extensive works including complete strip down to a shell. The car had a replacement near side floor pan and boot floor then the car was red leaded / painted and then though roughly wax oiled. The vehicle then had a major mechanical rebuild including full high compression engine with new unleaded cylinder head, type 9 High Torque 5 speed gearbox conversion , new tube axle and all suspension rebuilt / replaced/ painted. The car was then reassembled and converted to RHD. The vehicle was inspected by H. W. Bell consulting motor engineers and UK registred 01/ 11/ 2010. We have many invoices and photographs detailing all of the work completed all of which was to a very high standard. The car has covered less than 1000 miles to date.
Since taking possession of the vehicle, I have undertaken a full bare metal repaint in 2k and carried out other improvements which included but was not limited to :

New oil cooler
Fuel Pump
All new Chrome
New lights
Full interior re-trim
New alloy wheels
New discs/ brakes
Electronic ignition
Wax oiled
New hood
New hood frame
Leather seats
Isolator
all exterior seals
Based on my experience of having carried out countless restorations of MG’s and other classics over the years, I can safely say this vehicle has one of the best body shells and chassis around. This is demonstrated by the vehicle having only had a single floor panel replaced, with all the cills, castle rails, and rear wheel arches having their original spot welds.
The vehicle has to be seen to be fully appreciated and I have every confidence that it would exceed your expectations.
