Hi and welcome to my listing of this excellent rubber bumper M. G. B in Russet Brown with the orange deck chair seats which fits perfect for the 70's era,
The car started its life in jersey i have a number authorisation certificate that suggests it came to the u. k back in 2012.
while in jersey it underwent a 3 stage restoration back in 1996 with bills totalling over £4000, on the receipts it does say that there are photos of this work but unfortunately they are not present. There is also lots of other bills of worked carried out in jersey. I also have the number plates from jersey although they are not original dealer ones but still nice to know the original registration plate numbers.
Ive owned this car for 3 years now and i have enjoyed every minute, i have spent a fair few ££££'s myself, including a new clutch at 89601 miles and new clutch slave cylinder only last week, and ive just done a 12000 mile service, plus loads of bits and bobs along the way. (to many to mention) to bring it up to the standard it is today.
The car itself is mechanically sound and starts on the button due to having the benefit of electronic ignition, It drives faultlessly overdrive works as it should and has perfect oil pressure as you can see from my photo which I took on tick over.
The bodywork is in very good condition there is the odd blemish and small surface rust patches but overall its really good and no rust in hidden places and if viewed up close you would not be disappointed, Some of the exterior chrome trim does have a few scratches but again pretty good. The interior is also good i have put some rubber mats in the foot well. the carpet on the drivers side has also worn away in places. as you can see it has an earlier M. G. B steering wheel which i think looks better than the original 4 spoke steering wheel. But please remember that this car is 38 years old and i feel that these things just add to the patina.
The car passed its M. O. T back april with flying colours, with no advisories.
The present mileage is 91101 it will rise slightly as i like to keep it moving and not just sitting about. It is being kept in a garage as The last owner did to. I also have the classic cool 180 waterless coolant replacement. which i will include with the sale.
This has to be one of the most honest M. G. B's out there and is ready to be drove and enjoyed for the rest of our summer, if you would like a 2nd opinion on this car there is a mg specialists garage that i use and they are happy to give you a reference on this car.
