Description
Reminiscent of the legendary Renault 5 Turbo, and somewhat successor to the Clio Williams Edition of the MkI producing in 1990, this Clio is a step up from the 2 litre straight 4 engine. This MkII V6 Sport was engineered by Tom Walkinshaw Racing, utilising a tweaked version of the proven and unstressed 3. 0-litre V6 24V unit from the Laguna saloon. The V6 variant actually shares very little with its standard counterpart. TWR, who also built these cars at its Swedish factory, producing just 1, 513 examples (between 2001 and 2003).
The 3 litre V6 sits where the rear seat would typically be, giving the rear wheel drive a chance to put down its power. The homologated engine coupled with a six speed box creates an engaging environment to be in, and one that is hard to replicate. Cushioned by Renault sport alcantara/ leather split seats, allows this car to really be enjoyed.
Having just two previous owners, this Clio has covered less than 45, 000 miles with a full service history, it has been looked after and had an important cambelt change recently.
The car is good for its age, with a few visible scrapes around the door edges, but overall in good condition both inside and out.
Why do you need back seat when you can have a V6 engine as a passenger?
