This is a very special MGB GT
She was fully restored just over a year ago by Leacy's Classics in Birmingham. They renovated her with heritage panels and conducted a bare metal respray in the original white. Original alloy bonnet, carefully refurbished original chrome sections including original mirrors, grill, handles and locks. New front / rear over-riders and bumpers. Bodywork has perfect alignment and pristine shut lines. New roof skin. All body gaskets and seals have been replaced. New lenses where necessary, new headlamps along with number plates and brackets, and new laminated windscreen.
Interior ;
Black with black vinyl seats. Some new panels were fitted where necessary. new carpet throughout, original spoked wheel and gear knob. Completely refurbished seats and dashboard with new covers and replacement switches where necessary. Perfect dash top and crash rail. Replacement roof lining, A-post cards, sunvisors, gear knob and centre console. Front inertia seat belts fitted.
Engine / Mechanical;
Completely refurbished with , new gaskets throughout, refurbished carbs, ignition, radiator, exhaust and all new pipework where necessary. Perfect gearbox & overdrive., with new clutch slave, master cylinder and pipework. Refurbished differential/ axle with all new seals.
Running gear;
Totally overhauled with a combination of new poly bushes and normal bushes, seals and paint work. Refurbished brakes, new copper brake lines and new master cylinder. Overhauled steering rack plus new tie rods and ends. Refurbished fuel tank with new sender unit and solid state fuel pump, refurbished early steel wheels with excellent 185/ 70/ 14 tyres to improve road holding. Comprehensively rust proofed using 3m shutz, stonechip and many litres of Wax-oil before reassembly.
Overall condition ;
This car was stripped to the bare shell. It is basically a new car. The doors glide shut, everything works and the drive is perfect.
We are situated in Epping Essex, very close to M11 and M25 motorways. Enquires from Europe are welcome, I can collect viewers from Stansted airport, and have experience in transporting to Europe.
