2004 Boxster S model designed to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the
legendary Porsche 550 Spyder. Reflects the spirit of one of Porsche's most
famous models. The Boxster is styled after the 550, with similar body lines,
mid-engine roadster configuration, low weight, excellent agility, and a high
level of driving pleasure. The new commemorative Boxster S further reflects
this classic Porsche model with performance enhancements and additional
styling cues not previously available on Boxster models, with the 986 range
becoming the next classic Porsche this exclusive model is the one to own
and drive. There are many examples out there that claim to be anniversary
models however they are not ltd edt 550 Spyders.

First registered and pre delivery inspected by AFN Porsche in Guildford
Surrey. This is a matching numbers car with all original factory
panels and original paint. The engine and gearbox are matching as
manufactured and nothing has been changed.
History & Servicing + Recent Expenditure
The history is complete detailing 8 engine services and 6 brake fluid
changes. A thick folder of receipts detailing every bill right back to
2006 at 2 years old. A full MOT history is present also.

Currently this car shows 88000 miles and has no outstanding issues
and all systems are working correctly, its a total pleasure to view
and to drive its a rather more focused and cohesive experience to the
standard S car. All brakes and tyres in excellent condition.
The Drive
For added performance, the new Boxster S edition is equipped with the most
powerful engine ever offered in the Boxster 986 model line. Rated at 264
horsepower, the 3. 2-liter flat-six cylinder power plant propels the
car from 0 to 62 mph in 5. 7 seconds, and to a top track speed
of 165 mph. Sportier suspension settings, 5 mm-wide wheel spacers
on all four wheels, and standard 18-inch Carrera wheels improve handling.
Model Analysis
As most 550 Spyders were painted silver, the new special edition Boxster S
is finished in GT Silver Metallic, a color only found on the Carrera GT and
"40 Years of the 911" models. The soft top is in Black. For additional visual
emphasis, wheel spokes are painted in Seal Grey, a colored Porsche crest
adorns each wheel hub cover, and the monoblock brake calipers have an aluminum
paint finish.
Other exclusive exterior styling features include silver-painted grills above
the rear strut openings, a specially created stainless steel tailpipe,
chrome plated and polished Boxster S lettering on the rear deck lid, and
safety bar padding that matches the car's interior. GT Silver dominate the
car's special interior with matching carpet and floor mats featuring the
Porsche script logo. The centre panels of the standard heated seats,
hand brake lever, gear lever gate, ball-shaped aluminium gearshift knob,
inside door handles, and padded sport steering wheel are covered in Black
leather. The rear section of the centre console, hand brake lever, grooved
bar on the dashboard, switch panel, and the back of the safety bars are
painted in GT Silver Metallic.
Instruments are uniquely styled with black faces surrounded by chrome plated
decorative rings. Other standard features include (PSM), an on-board computer,
the Litronic head lamps have dynamic beam angle adjustment and a cleaning
system, plus a wind stop. GT Silver seat back shells, and natural leather
interior everywhere. The steering wheel is also that from the 996 Turbo,
thicker and leather clad.
Production of the new Boxster S edition is limited to 1953 units world wide
however there was as little as 150 genuine UK rhd models ever registered
making this is a highly collectable car. A limited-edition plate on the centre
console indicates the Anniversary car's production number.
