Here we have for sale a good looking Series 3, aided by uprated modular wheels and larger profile tyres.
On the inside there are seats for seven - should it be required a pair of rear windows could be added to create the feel of a station wagon. There are deluxe mats throughout plus some evidence of an original deluxe interior - with transmission tunnel matting. The rest of the interior is of standard spec, and is in good order.
Externally, the vehicle benefits from a towbar and mudflaps. There is a bonnet mounted spare for that period feel. The bodywork is in fair condition as can be seen in the photos and the truck "stands" well.
Mechanically, this series 3 is spot on - when it came in it was suffering low compression due to a tired head gasket. This has been replaced, and during that process we have also fitted a brand new carburettor and complete ignition system, including distributor, coil, HT leads and plugs. As one can imagine it now runs like the proverbial swiss watch, with superb compression on every cylinder.
Out on the road there are no dramas, and it drives just as it should - we often get asked questions about gearboxes and the like, but when you buy from us we ensure it operates correctly - if they don't they are reconditioned - but this one does the job perfectly!
In summary then. this is a sweet running Series 3, capable of carrying 7 passengers. It will be tax exempt in 2 years and MOT exempt in 3, so there's added value promised in the future - and with all those new ancillaries fitted it should prove more reliable than most!
