Literally just in the door, and very smart she is too.
This is a 1987 BMW R80, and having started life as an RT, is now running without the original "barn door" fairing. The paintwork, complete with fading hand painted coachline, appears original, and looking at the paperwork, it has been a civilian bike from new.
Supplied by Park Lane BMW, London, the history folder still contains the original BMW handbook, in its original folder.
As i say, she's just arrived, and we're yet to fully assess the bike, but she's off the button, with a quiet, strong motor, charging well, and with no undue noises or exhaust smoke. Being the later spec. Mono, she's a perfect base for that custom, having twin Brembo discs, full stainless exhaust system, steering damper, surefoot sidestand, crash bars, etc, and a no advisory MOT till May '18.
The bike can be supplied as is, or if you're looking to tour, we can supply it complete with the correct factory panniers and mounting frames. You'll see it already has a custom touring seat. It will be serviced and test ridden this week, but please feel free to express early interest, and we can email detailed pictures.
Even at this price, we'll consider YOUR classic in part exchange.
