We are reluctantly selling our simply awesome Splitty ‘Ernie’ after moving to a house in the woods with a track too rough to repeatedly drive a classic like this up and down! The mechanics of the bus are in superb condition, the engine has been completely rebuilt and refurbished and the chassis is one of the most unmolested and sound examples you will find in the UK or elsewhere. Currently kept in a classic car storage facility to keep it in tip top condition.
A genuine German built 1966 bus supplied from the factory in Left Hand Drive to Los Angeles as a microbus. From there it moved on to Japan where it was eventually bought and shipped to the UK in 2015 for a complete overhaul, refurbishment and camper interior by UK Sports Cars in Kent, where Sam has been turning out some of the finest restorations on the market for the most discerning clients.
The interior contains a full width rock'n'roll bed which seats 3 plus a two seat bench facing the rear, next to a camping sink and cupboard with fold out work top. This has been built by UK Sports Cars' own fitter, who learnt his craft in the yachting industry and the results are superb. The upholstery is in yellow with white piping to match the original front seats' yellow and white. Total seating capacity of eight including the driver makes this a great family bus and we have had some awesome days out and camping trips with it.

A Retrosound Model Two stereo up front provides superb sound and smart phone connectivity yet looks like an original 1960's stereo.
Also comes with fantastic split polished chrome and wood roof racks and side ladder.
This bus is an absolute joy to see and to drive and a solid investment for the future too. We are only selling due to moving house!
