1969 Jensen Interceptor Mk I £36, 500
We are pleased to be able to offer this Mk I Interceptor for sale on behalf of the owner.
This 1969 Interceptor has been in the custody of the current owner for around the last 20 years. The vehicle was bought as a light restoration case and took the owner a few years to restore. The car presents very well with its White exterior and contrasting Black leather interior.
Whilst not at the top end of concours condition (or ever increasing associated price), this is a lovely car ready for use by a new owner. The restored wheels are from a Mk III and fitted to accommodate the uprated Coopercraft front brakes. The engine fires into life instantly due to a supplementary electric fuel pump and shows great oil pressure. The leather seats are of particular note, being the originals with nearly 50 years of creases and in fantastic condition. Being a Mk I, the car has the original Italian dash that is greatly sought after with switches more akin to an aircraft than a 60s vehicle. This Interceptor drives very well, with a smooth gearbox and plenty of power available from the 6. 3 litre engine. Our lengthy and comprehensive test drive showed no cause for concern and a full service will be included for the new custodian.
The Interceptor is ready for viewing at our premises in Wiltshire where a ramp is available for a detailed inspection if required.
This is a better than entry level vehicle which can be further improved upon. Mk I Interceptors are rarely on the market and we don’t expect this one will be around too long.
