Welcome to the sale of my Mk1 Golf GTI. This is the 1983 model, 1800cc and 5 speed. It is the best colour of the range - Lhasa Green.
This is a brilliant driver quality car with very good bodywork and interior. The GTI is an absolute blast to drive and takes you straight back to the 'hot hatch' days in which this model led the way.
Brand new MOT and currently has 138K on the clock (No service history came with the car when I bought it) It has just had a new re-build on the transmission linkages, so the gear change is now smooth and tight.
Reason for sale is that I have just taken on a new project and double the space is needed for the 'strip down' and re-build.
Please remember that this car is 35 years old and not a show / trailer queen. With a little investment this could be turned into a very, very desirable car and a guaranteed investment.
Points to note:
The three centre clocks are not wired in.
The drivers seat tilt forward mechanism does not work (cable disconnected).
