considering letting this project go,
shes a vauxhall cresta pc 3. 3 litre straight 6 with 2 speed powerglide transmission that is silky smooth
the engine itself is in perfect condition started up on the button and pulled well, the gearbox also quite and smooth changing with the kickdown working efficiently and has been fitted back into the car.
i wanted to restore this old girl properly so i set about stripping it down to a rolling shell and taking the paint off down the bare metal..... i found some filler on the way which led to metalwork having to be done
All welding was done to an outstanding level by a local classic specialist at the cost of over 4600 pounds
the paintwork was then done with 6 coats of flame blue metallic and 4 coats of high gloss lacquer all using expensive products for the best finish i could get again this was an expensive ordeal which costs thousands as every panel went to bare metal
the interior is complete with door cards, original bucket seats not a bench!
needs a new headlining which can be bought for 135 pound on ebay and is very easy to fit as bars thread through it rather than having to glue it in place ect
also needs new carpet which again inexpensive to buy at 150 pound on the web
to conclude,
this is a solid car, all the hard work is done it owes me over 8 grand in total, and you'll have a showcar worth top money when finished, most restored pc's going for 12/ 13 grand
