Description
Montego 7 seater turbo diesel , last year of manufacture-so includes every option except air con. Mot till May 2027, owned since 2012, 7 previous owners. Starts first time every time, 50 +mpg and surprisingly nippy & ready to use! Engine, gearbox, clutch & diff all good. Rock solid underside. Engine serviced at 210k. Thoroughly overhauled to look like a good survivor car around 2013 [before and after photos available] 10 litres of top coat were used & only mop polished once-so lots to shine up if desired ! Original wheels etc included in sale. Brief !! list of new parts fitted since i've owned it : Windscreen, wipers, washer jets & arms & mechanism. Headlights, grille, battery, alternator, lift pump, rad, hoses etc, diesel pump seals, sump gasket, horns, clutch & speedo cable & drive, water pump , all belts inc pulleys etc @ 196k, gearbox to driveshaft seals, gearbox mounting. Steering rack gaiters, cv boot, wheel bearing, ball joints & track rod ends, reinforced drop links. Brake discs, caliper seals, hoses, shoes, cylinders etc. Tailgate struts, mudflaps, rear exhaust, tyres, ignition switch, nice stereo with all round new speakers, fancy alarm professionally fitted and probably more, essentially whatever it's wanted it's had ! I have enjoyed using this as my daily driver, but now i've needed a car that's ok for low emission areas hence the sale, i've had a few of these estates and consider them a superb car in diesel form- tough, reliable, comfy, cheap & easy to maintain far better than the competition of the same era . Also included in the sale is a hoard of spares inc a turbo/ electrics/ panels/ glass etc, maybe £500+ in value to use or sell. In conclusion i would say it's in very good all round condition , the buyer can see the little bits that need tidying up, rather than hiding them to sell, so a minor rolling restoration. I also have lots of old mots, bills etc, ps there is a similar estate in the owners club on it's original engine and gearbox with over a million miles, so this is barely run in and in a few years it will be historic status! A great classic to take friends and family to shows and practical too. Car is currently stored in a gated and cctv equipped compound, priced fairly i think and open to close offers, thank you for reading my advertBar a little tidy up everythings been replaced or overhauled, one of leylands unsung heros without doubt ! Also there are more Ferrari F40's on the road according to "how many left", so it's very rare and gets many admiring looks.
