Hello , L'atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this rare BMW M635 CSI E24 in Delphin Metallic which was registered on 20/ 03/ 1987. 3283 examples of the 635 M were produced for the European market over a period of 4 years. In 1987, its option price was around 500, 000 francs.
The model we are offering you has undergone a thorough restoration over the last 3 years. The engine, which originates from the BMW M1 and develops 286bhp, has undergone a complete overhaul and is in full health. The segmentation, bearings, valves, timing and oil pump, among others, have been replaced, while the cylinder head and crankshaft have been ground to the highest standards.
The cooling system has also been refurbished, and the viscous coupling, radiator, fans and oil cooler have been replaced. The gearbox is pleasant, with firm and precise gear locking, and the clutch has been replaced on occasion. The self-locking axle has just been restored.
The ignition system has been completely overhauled, as has the fuel system, with the fuel pump and pipes replaced, and the fuel tank given an internal treatment. Various electrical works have been carried out, so all the components are perfectly operational. The running gear behaves marvellously, firm and precise, in perfect harmony with the car's philosophy.
There is no play in the steering and the suspension is in perfect condition. The braking system has been refurbished and is efficient and balanced. Calipers, discs, pads and hoses have all been replaced.
The body has been completely repainted in its original colour, the alignments are in line with standards, and all the bodywork joints have been replaced.
The Recaro black leather upholstery has been treated and is in very good, even condition, with a slight patina that we are not indifferent to.
There are no cracks on the dashboard. The instrumentation is perfectly functional. The vehicle has the original sunroof and the roof lining is in perfect condition. The original M technic steering wheel is present and in very good condition. Rare: the original toolbox and torch are still present!
