Description
Your specialist today presents one of the most famous Italian cars on the small screen: the 308 GTSi. A legendary model from the Prancing Horse marque, the Ferrari 308 GTS was featured on numerous occasions in the popular Magnum television series. The model presented today left the Ferrari factory in June 1981, and proudly sports Salchi's Nero (599-01-619) colour scheme. As you will have noticed, the 'i' in the model's nomenclature echoes the Bosch injection system (K-JET), which enabled the Maranello firm to continue selling its cars on the American market. Only 1, 749 examples were produced, and the GTSi was registered for the first time in 1982 on the American West Coast. The first owner kept it with him for 18 years, before parting with it in 2000, when it clocked up just 9, 000 miles. The second owner kept it until 2016 and took it to 36, 000 miles, before selling it to a garage that exported it to France a year later, on behalf of the current owner. Since its arrival in France in 2017, this car has received the utmost attention in terms of its preservation. Indeed, here are the latest works carried out: - Removal of the US pollution control system (06/ 2024) - Oil change, replacement of tyres and steering rack (05/ 2024) - Oil change, replacement of distributor finger (01/ 2019) - Complete paintwork (04/ 2018) The last timing belt replacement was carried out at 35, 000 Miles, but will be renewed for the sale, having been carried out in 2015. A large file of invoices is available, as well as the original owner's manual and the complete toolkit.
This 308 GTSi is currently registered as a French collector, and is therefore no longer subject to the restrictions of the ZFE. As you will have gathered, this car has a history, and is now looking to continue it. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
