Description
The myth of the Chevrolet Corvette dates back to 1953 (at the height of the car boom in the USA), and it's fair to say that Chevrolet's sporty model has stood the test of time, with each generation making a lasting impression, as is still the case today with the recent C8 Corvette.
The 4th generation, the C4 (C for Corvette, the number to mark the generation), was launched in 1984 and set a number of records, as well as returning in 1986 to a cabriolet version (but also a convertible, i. e. with the roof completely removed) and ever more powerful engines.
The C4 Corvette represented a clean break with the C3, which was designed with an entirely new chassis and more elegant, more modern styling, but still capable of evolving.
In 1996, after around 360, 000 Corvette C4s had been produced (all versions combined), it was replaced by the Corvette C5.
NYC's/ OXOTO is offering for sale a very handsome LT1 version of the C4 Corvette, i. e. a more powerful version (V8 developing 300 bhp) in red, with red leather interior and less than 57, 500 km (-35, 500 miles) on the clock. This colour combination gives the car a particularly sporty look, which goes down very well on this model, with its aerodynamic lines. Delivered new to the USA in September 1994, it belonged to a Belgian specialist in American cars who, in response to a customer request, had it imported from his home in the USA to Belgium in October 2024. Its current owner, a Belgian, was very, perhaps a little too surprised by its power and decided to sell it. The car didn't suit his driving philosophy. It has therefore only had 2 owners, the first for 30 years.... The bodywork is in excellent condition, with absolutely nothing to say, not the slightest scratch or dent. Nothing is to be expected, it's impeccable.
The interior is also in very good shape, with nothing to say about the condition of the seats, dashboard, carpets and centre console.
As far as the mechanics are concerned, we unfortunately don't have any trace of what was done to it, given the profession of its first owner, but in any case we can confirm its excellent road holding. If the Belgian specialist from America bought it, there's no doubt that he knew what he was doing: it starts straight away, there's no problem with overheating, it stays upright and brakes very well, with no abnormal noise, and acceleration is second to none to European sports cars... What's more, the last Belgian roadworthiness test was carried out in October 2024 (57, 097 km) and made no mention of any technical remarks on this magnificent C4 Corvette.
We have two different roofs at our disposal, a red one in body colour and a glass one (value: €3, 500), which adds a great atmosphere to the cabin.
