Description
Here's a very rare 1964 Morris Mini Cooper S Mk1 "RADFORD", with only 31, 000 original miles! Harold Radford was the biggest Mini tuner in the 1960s (a true pioneer), and he quickly realised that the Mini was a trendy car and that the stars were snapping it up, so he offered a customisation and modernisation service to make them even more luxurious. Peter Sellers was the first to order one, followed by all the Beatles, and depending on the model, a Radford cost between the price of a Jaguar E-Type and the price of an Aston Martin DB5! All Radfords were painted in colours from the Rolls Royce catalogue, and the interior featured a dashboard worthy of the finest cars, roll-down windows (the original windows were sliding!), woollen carpets, a leather upholstery and a leather interior.), woollen carpets, a Benelite grille with a fog light and a long-range light, Marchal parking lights, Riley chrome strips and a whole host of other little details. The model we are presenting to you belonged to Lord Plummer of St Marylebone and has only 31, 000 original miles! We have in our possession the first registration document (old green log book), old MOTs, photos from the 70s and photos of the car before restoration During the restoration, only the rear skirt was replaced (all the other sheet metal is original). The powertrain has been completely rebuilt and all the real 1071 engine parts are present (AEG151 block, 22G190 gearbox, AEG163 cylinder head, etc). The interior is in an incredible state of preservation, with everything original, even the woollen carpet! As an added bonus, the rear bench seat can be folded down (Radford option) - the absolute Holy Grail! Mind you, you're going to have to sell a kidney to be able to buy it, but it's really worth it :-) Price: Please contact us (financing possible for up to 60 months with our partner Financo).
