Description

History of the Alfa Romeo Giulia The Alfa Romeo Giulia was first launched on the market in 1962 as a saloon. The Giulia is one of the most beautiful Alfas of all time, angular yet elegant, fast, deliciously Italian. An icon of its time that, thanks to Bertone's masterful design tricks, offers exceptional roominess and visibility, with an exemplary Cw of 0. 34. A sporty hatchback for all the family, with a wonderfully large boot. This vehicle was virtually unrivalled in its day.
And not just because of its evocative name. But above all because it combined the characteristics of a sports car and a family travel saloon. With an all-aluminium twin-cam engine, four disc brakes and a five-speed gearbox, the Giulia was unrivalled at the time. This was even the case for police cars. While Inspector Wanninger, the Bavarian commissioner of the 60s, still travelled in a BMW Barockengel and Commissioner Haferkamp drove a VW Beetle to crime scenes, the Italian carabinieri hunted down criminals in blue and white Alfa Romeo Giulias. Equipped with flashing lights, they didn't just chase bad guys, they also hunted through the dreams of honest Romeos on both sides of the Alps. What made the Giulia so attractive back then still counts today: a light car, a powerful engine - the recipe for success of all everyday sports cars. Unlike its fledgling sports car rivals, Alfa stood out with its family-friendly four-door design.
Production of the Giulia (105/ 115) ended in 1978, after 572, 646 examples. Description of the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1. 6 Super - SSC631 This Giulia Super 1. 6 was built in the factory on 27. 04. 1972 and delivered for the first time to Belluno (Italy) on 09. 05. 1972, according to confirmation by Alfa Romeo Historic. On 30. 11. 1983 it was sold to Marina M. in the province of Rome and given the registration number ROMA 97724E. On 10. 07. 2013, Scuderia Sportiva Colonia discovered this classic car and transferred it to Germany. The car then underwent an intensive service, during which the underbody was completely stripped bare and resealed.
The Giulia was then sold to its last German owner, who now wishes to return it. The bodywork and interior are still in exceptional condition, and the technology has always been exemplary, so this Alfa Romeo is ready for new adventures.
