We are selling a very nice Ford Torino GT hideaway "clone" (based on a 2-door coupe) from 1971 (you rarely see these around here...), V8 302ci and C4 auto. There is some restoration work to do, but previously a "German veteran" in 2010, so NO corrosion!! The headlight shutters to repair, for example..., the bodywork isn’t perfect (a few small paint chips and the bumpers are a bit chipped). Mechanically, the power steering ram still needs doing, the replacement of the floor-mounted gear selector (new part supplied) and the repair of the fuel tank (perforated from time at rest).
The interior, the area with the most work in my opinion (seats, door panels, headlining, etc.) is finally being tackled given that NOBODY had shown an interest in buying it "as is" and therefore EVERYTHING is in the process of being restored!!
So IF an EU customer is genuinely interested, we offer you the opportunity to save CHF 1, 800 (i. e. purchase price CHF 24, 000 ex VAT instead of CHF 25, 800) by avoiding Swiss homologation, which would keep the German papers and thus NO customs!!!! This vehicle is currently under the Swiss entry condition "13. 20", i. e. cleared for import and VAT paid; once restoration is completed, it remains to be registered in Switzerland. So this vehicle ALWAYS has its German papers attached, and is therefore still "European" for any French or other European nationalities buyers with no customs charges!!
P. S.: New selling price conditions... we offer two options:
- Price including VAT "delivered to France" via our forwarder in Marseille to handle the customs clearance (we’ll need to verify name 846a; these administrative services will naturally incur additional charges)
- Price excluding VAT, i. e. "collected by you at our Swiss premises" (displayed price)
