A very fine example of the Jaguar MK2 3. 8L, 1964 model year. In its original colour, black, paired with a very classy British green interior, this MK2 is a car that has been fully proven to be reliable for everyday use. There are few models in the 3. 8L version as well upgraded, notably with power steering, Getrag 5-speed gearbox or gas shock absorbers.
The previous owner carried out numerous restoration works in a specialist workshop. The aim was to have a reliable car that is easily usable in today’s traffic. No less than €45, 000 of expenditure has been incurred (invoices available).
Engine side: among other things, replacement of liners, pistons, valves and valve guides; cylinder head pressure test; crankshaft regrind. Front/ rear drivetrain: all bushings were replaced, suspensions renewed. The clutch was removed.
Carburation was completely dismantled and synchronised. The braking system was revised and upgraded, as was the exhaust system.
The electrical loom has also undergone major restoration work.
Esthetically, many details have been revised such as the fasteners, some chrome, seals and others.
A full repaint was carried out a few years ago. The bodywork today is in a good non-concours presentation state. No corrosion was found at inspection (lower door bottoms, openings, windscreen pillars, lower wings and sills). The chrome trim is in excellent condition.

The last service was carried out in January 2025.
On the interior side, the upholstery had been restored about twenty years ago. It now shows a beautiful patina with some minor signs of wear. The headlining trim is in good condition as is the dashboard. The seats are also of high quality workmanship.
The original steering wheel has been replaced by a Motolita.
