Description
Alpine A310 1600 VE Group 4 factory-built
Dispatched from the Dieppe production lines in April 1972, this A310 was delivered in a claret colour with the GR4 kit. This Alpine A310 is part of the 575 examples produced with this 4-cylinder 1605 cc engine. It is a third-hand vehicle, owned by the current owner since 2014, and benefiting from a full expert dossier carried out in 2024 for valuation purposes.
Exterior condition:
This A310 is equipped with the rare Group 4 body kit, giving it a radical and muscular appearance. The flatness of all body elements is excellent, with no sagging or deformation to report. A few small fibreglass cracks are to be noted.
The yellow finish with Alpine-Renault markings and Elf sponsorship pays homage to the competition versions. Despite its age and a few flaws, the paint presents well. It sits on four authentic two-piece Gotti wheels, perfectly suited to the racing style of this setup.
Interior condition:
The interior is presented in a very period French setup, with upholstery in good condition. The carpets and the dashboard are well preserved, and the car is fitted with a superb Oreca steering wheel.
Note that this A310 also has a non-original sunroof.
Mechanical condition:
Under the rear bonnet lies the aluminium 1605 cc four-cylinder Cléon engine. It is fed by two Weber 45 DCOE carburettors, paired with special intake trumpets. The car also features an aluminium ALPINE valve cover.
