Description
This MGA Roadster is an iconic British two-seater, which has been fully rebuilt to as-new condition and converted to an electric vehicle by Retro-EV.
Power is supplied by a 105 kW (143 hp) electric motor producing 390 Nm of torque, fed by 21. 2 kWh liquid-cooled batteries, driving the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission. The stated range is between 120 and 150 km.
The bodywork and chassis have been restored, and the interior, chassis, suspension and brakes rebuilt anew by Grips Garage, specialists in the restoration and maintenance of British classic cars.
This electric-powered MGA Roadster features a handsome combination of British Racing Green with a beige leather interior and handsomely crafted seats.
It rolls on 16-inch wire wheels with two-ear hubs, shod with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
The suspension now comprises adjustable coilovers and modern disc brakes at the front and rear.
Inside, it features a three-spoke Moto-Lita steering wheel, Smiths gauges and a stereo system.
The electrical power system was designed by Retro-EV. The 105 kW electric motor is housed in the engine bay, while modular batteries are tucked under the chassis and bodywork. The low centre of gravity would help the car retain its sporting handling characteristics.
